Coping with Life’s Anxieties

We all have anxiety in our lives, some more than others, some worse than others. But regardless of the nature or amount of your anxiety, we all have SOMETHING in our life that causes us stress. Sometimes, it can seem overwhelming and insurmountable.

Well, I heard some great advice this past weekend, and though it sounds simple, it really is true. The worst day of your life can only last 24 hours. And it’s true. No matter what we are going through, as Scarlet O’Hara said, “Tomorrow is another day.” Let each day have its own problems and successes. Don’t dwell on what happened yesterday or stress over what might happen tomorrow. Just take each day as it comes. One day at a time.

It may sound rudimentary, but sometimes simple is best, and I know that applying this to my life has definitely been helpful in certain circumstances. So, one foot in front of the other foot and one day at a time! You’ll make it up that mountain yet!
